History
The
NW corner of 11th and Ogden has been home to many businesses. In fact, the
building on this corner was once the longest continuously operating pharmacy in
Denver. In April 1975, Jun Hamai purchased Allen’s Drugstore and renamed it
Skyline Pharmacy. In 2005, Jun Hamai retired and his sons Don and Joe took over
— Skyline Pharmacy became Skyline Spirits, a full-time liquor store. A friend
of the Hamai family, Matt Paulk acquired the business in 2020 and has embarked
on modernizing the store while maintaining the exceptional shopping experience our
customers know and love.
